The United States Food and Drug Administration warns of China-made dietary supplements that contain sildenafil, the active ingredient of Viagra, a popular treatment for erectile dysfunction.FDA issued a statement warning consumers not to purchase or use the following products: Super Shangai, Strong Testis, Shangai Ultra, Shangai Ultra X, Lady Shangai, and Shangai Regular, also marketed as Shangai Chaojimengnan.
Sildenafil reacts with nitrates and can cause blood pressure to drop in dangerous levels.
