About 1,500 raccoon dogs died recently in China after ingesting melamine from the feeds.
The raccoon dogs, which are raised in China for their fur, died due to kidney failure, which they got from eating melamine-laced feed.
The feed, produced by Harbin Hualong Feed Co., was tested to contain 500 parts per million of melamine.
